So guys I did it, I finally got past my 6 month writings block and posted a chapter of Imperium.

Wanna know how I did it after so long… I didn’t force it.

So I know 6 months is a long time to wait for writers block to just pass on its own but for me and I am sure many others it was the best option to ensure my writing stayed at the highest possible standard. Here are some positives of just letting writers block unblock itself,

  1. I wasn’t forcing my writing to ensure the quality of my writing didn’t drop for the sake of just posting a chapter
  2. When it came to actually writing the chapter it was untimately stressful and everything flowed as if I hadn’t just left my work sitting in a file for 6 months
  3. And lastly, my inspiration came to be at my least busy time of the year i.e summers holidays which allowed me to focus of my writing without my mind wondering to the topic of homework and sports.

Now I feel on top of the world for getting over my block.

Now I am not saying to leave your writers block to go on for 6months or more or saying that this process is by far the best.

I am writing this in hope that if you do ever come across writers block you will be armed with many ways to try to overcome it until you find the one that best suits you, so here is one of those process you can arm yourself with.

Goodluck and I hope your writers block doesn’t last as long as mine. x
